The World Cup is finally here! It only happens every 4 years, and it’s usually the highlight of my year.
This World Cup is different, and I’m not as excited, which seems to be felt by most people who I know. It’s in the winter in Qatar, and with the run up to the holidays and no big build up, it already just doesn’t feel the same.
UK kick off times will start at 10am, with another at 1pm, 4pm and the final one at 7pm, with the number of games tapering off as the competition reaches it’s latter stages.
The opening game is hosts Qatar against Ecuador which is a 4pm kick off.
But it’s here now and it’s time to watch. I’ll be keeping this post updated with all the results as and when they happen.
I will of course be following Spain, and I have already got my 2022 Spain home shirt ready.
To get you in the mood you can check out my visual guide to every ball from the World Cup starting from 1930 right up to 2018. You can see in the header the current match ball for this year’s World Cup which once again is created by Adidas.
