Simply Classic Wedding with DIY Bridal Converses

While Vienna and Duncan are high school sweethearts, their story actually started in sixth grade band class (adorable, right?). And then one day after class on the way to lunch, Vienna asked Duncan, “So are you going to ask me out or what?” And the rest is history. For the past several years, the couple has been navigating a long distance relationship as Vienna finished up her nursing degree in the United States Army. Vienna shared that it has been challenging but totally worth it. “I think I am most excited about growing our love and relationship without so many distractions. There are not many times when it has been just the two of us, so I cannot wait to start this new journey with Duncan and to build a life together.”

When it came time to plan their wedding day, they wanted the core of the day to be about being together with their closest loved ones at Saude Creek Vineyards near Williamsburg, Virginia. Simply chic and filled with memorable moments were tops on their planning list! From fun DIY bedazzled bridal Converse shoes (and a pearl studded veil to complement them!) to champagne-colored bridesmaid dresses to a minimalist reception design, Duncan and Vienna enjoyed an Italian-inspired menu, sparklers, music to keep everyone on the dance floor, and smiles for days all set against the background of rows of summer grapevines.
