A New Years Eve Tablescape

A New Years Eve Tablescape

A New Years Eve Tablescape

The year is coming to an end and New Year’s Eve plans are on the horizon. Whether you want to stay up until the clock strikes midnight, or keep it low-key and head to bed early, I’ve got a celebratory tablescape made for your home that’s easy and beautiful. And no it’s not just black and gold and cheesy! It feels elevated and beautiful and you can turn all the decor into a beautiful arrangement once it’s done.

For today’s tablescape, I’m so excited to be partnering with VIETRI. I have a few of their bakeware pieces and glassware. I absolutely love the high quality and beautiful designs. These are handcrafted in Italy by artisans with incredible attention to detail. These are definitely investment pieces and make for great gifts too. If you’re heading to someone’s home for NYE, maybe bring over a set of beautiful glasses to clink your champagne with at midnight.

To set the table, I went with black placemats, gold chargers topped with white plates and a black matte salad plate. It’s a simple table set up that feels elegant but also is super easy to create. Gold flatware brings it all together. For glassware, I’m using these stunning VIETRI Optical Gold Champagne Flutes. And for water glasses, I’m using these VIETRI Natalia Double Old Fashioned Glasses. While they are technically glasses for an old fashioned, they work nicely for water and I love the texture they give the table. To add some interest to the tablescape, I added some black matte candle holders, gold mercury glass votives and lots of disco balls. I loved this plum ombre set that adds a bit of color to the table.

Now onto the buffet. I love dressing up this buffet area for friends. For NYE, I’m going for a simple dessert and champagne bar. I layered onto the buffet pampas grass, dried flowers and painted eucalyptus that pulls the plum colors from the disco balls. Layer them all in and around your buffet and you’ve got the prettiest setting. To add some height, I used a few more candle holders and votives for some pretty light and set the mood for the evening! I also added lots of disco balls in various sizes and colors.

For the mirror, I just secured some pampas grass and leftover eucalyptus together and added in some additional clippings from the dried flowers. Using a glue gun was best to get everything together. I pinned it to the wall with a really easy Command Strip hook.

A Bourbon And Cranberry Mule Recipe

Sure champagne is a must for New Year’s Eve. But having a great cocktail on hand too is nice to drink throughout the night. This cocktail is so easy to make and feels extra festive in these beautiful glasses. I also love that these are dishwasher safe. Nothing is more annoying after hosting friends than having to handwash things. You can make these in the high ball or low ball glasses too. Here’s how to make it.

Ingredients
  • 1..5 ounces of bourbon
  • Splash of cranberry juice
  • Squeeze of half a lime
  • Top with ginger beer
  • Garnish with cranberries

Just fill up your VIETRI Natalia glasses with ice and pour over your bourbon, cranberry and lime. Then top it all off with your ginger beer. Garnish with fresh cranberries.
